Job Requirements

• Use and maintain measuring equipment pertaining to department
• Doing inspection to assure conformance to blueprints and quality plans
• Complying With Procedures, Rules
• Monitor and control feed rate and speed./li
• Operate machine by placing stock on rest, closing tail stock and feeding piece to sutter head hand by hand lever until stop guide terminate machining
• Perform any tasks as requested by department leadperson and/or supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task
• Set up and operate computercontrolled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic work pieces
• Know how to convert machine programs for various machines
• Program and run a variety of CNC-controlled machines, including mills and lathes
• Develop, maintain, and portray a high degree of professionalism and technical competence both within and outside the organization, encouraging excellence through example
• Checking stock to determine amount
• Set up lathe by installing and adjusting tools, collets
• Preparing machine for production, regulating machine, producing parts, maintaining specifications, resolving production problems, ensuring correct operation of equipment
• Modifying, or repairing parts or assemblies, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures
• Performed individually, one at a time
• Provide feedback to the programming department on programs and correct cutting tools to use to achieve required dimensions and finish tolerances
• Improve cutting toll performance, repeatability and maching problems
• Read and interpret blueprints to plan setup and operations of machines

Serious candidates will have the following experience, skills, or education:

•  Will need to provide their own helmet, chip and hammer, tape measure, square, pliers (all basic welding tools).

• 1+ year of construction experience.

• Will need to supply welder/fabricator tools of the trade

• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.

• State weld certification is a plus.
