Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs routine quality inspections in accordance with the organization’s procedures to

assure that products meet high standards of quality and customer specifications.

SUPERVISION AND SCOPE:

N/A

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform inspections throughout all phases of manufacturing to ensure that products

meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.

Inspect critical incoming raw materials and components and assist receiving department

with QC documentation.

Review documentation (work instructions, labels, assembly specifications, etc.) to be

sure it meets customer specifications, ISO 9001 standard, ISO 13485 standard and

FDA regulatory compliance considerations.

Interact effectively with QC Coordinator, QHSE Manager, Production Coordinators,

Warehouse Coordinators, and Production Manager in order to resolve quality issues.

Accurate, concise, and timely communication with supervision and managers as

required.

Job Requirements

PHYSICAL/VISUAL ACTIVITIES OR DEMANDS:

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Ability to read labels and documents with or without accommodation.

KNOWLEDGE:

Possess fundamental understanding of inspection functions and a quality control system

along with the necessary documentation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma required. Associate degree or equivalent in a technical area

(Biology, Chemistry, etc.) preferred.

Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment required. Familiarity with ISO

9001, ISO 13485, and cGMP preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Products including Word and

Excel.

Independent coordinating, problem solving and prioritizing skills, detail oriented and

thorough.

Ability to work well with people of varied backgrounds and abilities.

Ability to use physical measurement instruments (thermometers, scales, calipers, etc.)

after initial training.
